The team at Dortmund-based S\u00e4lzer Autokrane & Transporte has clearly acquired a taste for Demag: Not only did the company already have a Demag\u00ae AC 40 City, an AC 100-4L, and an AC 200-1 in its fleet, but it has also put a brand new Demag AC 250-5 all terrain crane into operation now. The new Demag crane was handed over by Tadano Demag Sales Manager Helge Pr\u00fcfer to the company\u2019s two general managers, Rene S\u00e4lzer and his brother Nico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cFrom experience, we know that Demag cranes are extremely reliable. And this played a key role in our decision to acquire the new AC 250-5, which was necessary in order to ensure that we\u2019d remain competitive in the medium and long terms,\u201d both report. The two characteristics of the AC 250-5 that they found especially compelling were its compact design and extraordinary maneuverability \u2013 two important aspects for a company that frequently tackles jobs at tight work sites. The crane also shines with its innovative IC\u20111 Plus control system in this context, as the system enables it to always take advantage of the maximum available lifting capacity when the outriggers are extended in an asymmetrical configuration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

S\u00e4lzer will be using its new Demag AC 250-5 primarily to install prefab concrete elements and take care of industrial assembly projects. In addition, it will also be used for hydropower projects, machine relocation services, and other handling work.
