For Florian Wiesbauer, Managing Director of the crane service company of the same name based in Bietigheim-Bissingen, one thing is certain: \u201cThe Tadano AC 7.450-1 is the best crane in its class.\u201d And he knows what he\u2019s talking about\u2014after all, his company secured the world\u2019s first delivery of the AC 7.450-1 back in 2021 and has had such positive experiences with the crane that they have now ordered a second one. The crane was handed over in Zweibr\u00fccken by Tadano Sales Manager Stefan Oerter to Managing Directors Sissy and Florian Wiesbauer, crane operator Jannik Weigle, and escort vehicle driver Andr\u00e9 Janitzek.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was also a surprise guest at the handover: former Tadano Sales Manager Michael Zieger took the opportunity to briefly interrupt his retirement to visit the Zweibr\u00fccken plant and attend the event \u2014 having originally initiated the sale during his active career. For Stefan Oerter it was the first crane he had sold for Tadano after taking over from Zieger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compact like a 6-axle \u2013 powerful like an 8-axle<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are plenty of reasons why Florian Wiesbauer considers the AC 7.450-1 the best crane in its class. \u201cThe AC 7.450-1 is definitely a significantly more powerful alternative to all 6-axle cranes currently available on the market,\u201d he explains. With an undercarriage length of just 15.99 meters, it fits despite its additional axle within the same dimensional class, including an outrigger base of 8.49 meters and a total length of 17.62 meters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other highlights include its powerful 80-meter main boom, the patented luffing jib rigging system for particularly fast, simple, and safe setup, and its SSL system, where the Superlift arms are mounted at the very front of the boom head. This allows them to be significantly longer and results in higher lifting capacities. In terms of lifting performance, the AC 7.450-1 clearly outperforms other 7-axle cranes \u2014 and in many boom configurations, it even surpasses some 8-axle models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the innovative IC-1 Plus crane control system, Wiesbauer\u2019s new AC 7.450-1 is also equipped with the unique Surround View camera system. This system helps the crane operator optimally position the crane on site: it uses six cameras to create a computer-assisted display showing the maximum possible outrigger extension at the crane\u2019s current position. \u201cEspecially since we often work on confined construction sites, this system is extremely helpful: it supports us in positioning the crane quickly and safely in the optimal way,\u201d adds Florian Wiesbauer. It also helps improve safety on the road by making pedestrians and cyclists more visible when turning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
