Tadano Ltd. announced a new partnership with Marubeni Distribution and Service (MDS) in T\u00fcrkiye, bringing together one of the world’s leading crane manufactures with the official Turkish distributor for major global heavy machinery, logistics, and transportation brands. Operating under the Japanese trading conglomerate Marubeni Corporation, MDS provides sales, after-sales support, rental, and second-hand equipment services across T\u00fcrkiye, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new partnership gives Tadano strong new representation in the Turkish market, giving them the ability to offer their wide range of crane and aerial platform models coupled with access to Marubeni Distribution and Service’s authorized service network. The integration of products and service is designed to enhance both companies\u2019 reputations for thorough, end-to-end solutions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

MDS began its Turkish operations in 1983, initially partnering with Komatsu. Today, they have over 280 employees with a head office in Istanbul, an Operations Center in Hendek, and a Technical Center in the capital city of Ankara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marubeni and Tadano formally announced their partnership at a ceremony held at the Sheraton Grand Istanbul Ata\u015fehir on the 22nd<\/sup> of May. Heading the event were Takashi Fukui, Executive Officer of Tadano, Ltd., Yusuke Yamada, Chairman of the Board of Marubeni Distribution and Service, and Bur\u00e7ak Birand, COO of Construction and Mining Machinery at MDS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Fukui, Executive Officer of Tadano Ltd., came in specifically for the ceremony. He said \u201cReturning to the Turkish market with a strong and experienced business partner like Marubeni Distribution and Service is a conscious and strategic decision for us. Our product range, extending from all-terrain cranes to truck-mounted and crawler cranes, is a testament to our engineering strength. T\u00fcrkiye is a very important market for Tadano, both for its own potential and its strategic location opening us up to neighboring countries. The strength of Marubeni Distribution and Service will contribute to realizing this vision throughout T\u00fcrkiye; we will continue to be a reliable business partner in the most challenging projects.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Yamada, Chairman of MDS, stated \u201cWith Tadano, we are not just signing a distributorship agreement; we are realizing a strategic meeting of two established Japanese brands in T\u00fcrkiye. With each new distributorship, we continue to strengthen our company’s global reputation for trust in the Turkish market. T\u00fcrkiye, with its dynamic structure and large-scale projects, has always been and continues to be one of our priority markets. To ensure proper service for Tadano customers, Marubeni established a dedicated Sales and Aftersales team. They report to MDS’s Construction & Mining Equipment Director, with additional dedicated sales representative and technician positions to be added in the coming months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specific Tadano crane models targeted by Marubeni for customers include the GR-1000EX-4 rough terrain crane for mining and infrastructure projects; the AC 5.250 L-2 and AC 6.300-1 all terrain cranes for rentals and tower crane assembly; and both the AC 7.450-1 all terrain crane and the CC38.650-1 crawler crane for windmill projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Domestically, Tadano cranes and platforms will serve the needs of new nuclear plants, windmill farms – both on- and off-shore – a major highway, high-speed train line, organized industrial zone projects, and Turkish government projects including dam reconstruction and municipal projects across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marubeni also works with Turkish customers on international projects that stretch into neighboring regions and continents. As a result of this partnership, Tadano cranes, platforms, and services can extend to undertakings including rebuilding projects in Syria and Ukraine; major highways in the Balkans; train line projects in Mozambique and Tanzania; and infrastructure projects in Gabon and Togo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MDS also seeks to further develop training, ensure full stocks of Tadano parts, and have a mobile service technician train other techs while assisting in full establishment of a dealer network for Tadano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
