Designed to tackle high-reach applications with superior platform capacity and stability, this heavy-duty telescopic boom lift, with a platform height of 62 ft 8 in (19.1 m) and maximum horizontal outreach of 37 ft 4 in (11.4 m), significantly reduces common safety risks and productivity bottlenecks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe believe the AS-63HD is a disruptive product \u2014 one that can do work that a traditional boom or scissor lift cannot do alone,\u201d says Erik Elzinga, Tadano Americas vice president of AWP business development for Pan-America operations. \u201cWith its 2,200-lb (1-tonne) capacity and massive platform, it allows contractors to move workers and heavy materials simultaneously, reducing the need for multiple machines on-site.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A New Standard for Safety and Stability<\/strong><br>One of the biggest challenges MEWP operators face is platform overloading and the safety risks and work delays associated with that. \u201cOperators sometimes exceed weight limits, triggering safety shutdowns and service calls,\u201d Elzinga says. \u201cThe AS-63HD, with its 2,200-lb (1-tonne) capacity, virtually eliminates that concern. That\u2019s a game-changer for productivity, efficiency, and safety.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Drawing from its extensive experience in quality crane manufacturing for the design of the AS-63HD, Tadano is uniquely positioned to develop a high-capacity boom lift that not only reduces the potential of both overloading and tip-overs but also delivers performance that operators will appreciate. The model\u2019s rigid crane-inspired mast and four-section synchronized telescoping boom ensure near-zero platform deflection, enhancing stability for occupants. Additionally, no outriggers or stabilizers are required, reducing setup time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTadano has a long legacy of structural and hydraulic engineering expertise from our crane business, and we\u2019ve applied that to this boom lift,\u201d Elzinga says. \u201cIt\u2019s not just about strength \u2014 it\u2019s about making a machine that feels solid, stable, and intuitive to operate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Optimal Control and Maneuverability for Demanding Applications<\/strong><br>The AS-63HD\u2019s exclusive automatic 4-motion control allows operators to easily position it in any straight-line direction, and it also offers an exceptional working range with its 360-degree continuous platform rotation, giving occupants superior flexibility to work in overhead areas without moving the chassis.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mediahub.tadano.com\/m\/2d5b7d8bba5de23e\/original\/img_tadano_AS-63HD_cutout4.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"width:450px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>With its massive platform, measuring 13 ft 9 in x 6 ft 4 in x 3 ft 7 in (4.2 x 1.94 x 1.1 m), the AS-63HD can handle up to 10 occupants or any mix of fewer occupants with heavy tools or materials within the capacity requirements. This makes it ideal for steel erection, pipefitting, glazing, and welding applications, with optional generator installation packages and a 120V AC outlet on the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe high capacity and significant size of the platform does not have an extension like a scissor lift, meaning operators don\u2019t have to carefully place materials in specific zones.\u201d Elzinga says. \u201cThat makes job planning simpler and safer and ultimately speeds up work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Powered by a 74.3-hp (55.4 kW) Kubota V3800 engine, the 4WD-unit with solid tires offers gradeability up to 40% with 5-degree tilt control and travel speeds up to 3 mph (4.8 km\/h) to traverse job sites.
