A: In order to use the CAD data, CAD software is necessary. Without CAD software you can not open the data.

A: Make sure that there is a "DXF" box in the "Open" command of your CAD software.

Q: The CAD data was downloaded in PDF format. Where is the data in DXF format?

A: Make sure that you did not download the "Specifications"data. Both "Specifications" and "CAD data" are selectable on the top screen after you agree to the terms of use.

Q: What is the meaning of the bold lines in the rated load chart?

A: Mobile crane load chart ratings are determined by either (1) strength (the crane will not break when lifting a load) or (2) the stability (the crane does not overturn when lifting a load) .The lower figure out of the two elements is used to determine rated capacity.
With mobile cranes, when working within a small radius, the crane's limitations are determined by the strength of its boom. When working within a larger radius, the crane's limitations are determined by its tipping point. The bold lines indicate at which point an overload would damage the crane structurally (those values above the bold line) as compared to the point at which an overload would damage the crane by tipping it over (those values below the bold line).
Whether looking at the load ratings above or below the bold line, there is no problem with setting up any work load that stays within the rated load limits provided in the load chart.
As an important note for setting up work plans, load ratings are calculated for the crane when it is set up on a level surface. Also, since the AML safety device prevents any crane operations outside of the rated capacities provided in the load chart, there may be instances where you will need to use higher capacity cranes for certain lifts, so please make your work plans accordingly.

Q: A gradeability of (tan θ) 0.57 is provided in the specification sheet of the rough terrain crane. Is it really possible for the vehicle to climb actual roads at this grade?

A: A gradeability of (tan θ) 0.57 is equal to 30° in terms of angle, but this value is a calculation of the maximum permissible inclination angle determined by calculations that take engine, torque converter, and transmission into account. Therefore, if there is no slip between the road surface and the tire, it is possible to climb up a road with a 30° grade.
However, there is some slip on actual roads, which is determined by the road surface friction coefficient. If the road surface friction coefficient is 0.6 or more, it is possible to climb up a road up a road with a 30° grade. In general, the road surface friction coefficient is estimated to be 0.4 to 0.7 for paved (dry) surfaces, but when the road surface friction coefficient is 0.4, the possible grade ability is about 20°.
