Cantiniau, a French company specializing in lifting, material handling, and transportation, recently expanded its fleet with a brand-new Tadano AC 4.080-1 all terrain crane. The machine was delivered last week during the JDL Expo 2026 trade show, held at the Palais des Congrès in Beaune.
Frédéric Valentin, Sales Manager at Tadano France, officially handed over the keys to the new crane to Cantiniau during the trade show. “The AC 4.080-1 crane combines reach, compact dimensions, and on-road maneuverability, all of which are particularly important for our day-to-day work,” explains Julien Cantiniau, President of Cantiniau. “Its 60-meter main boom and its ability to carry a useful amount of counterweight directly on the crane will allow us to deploy it quickly and efficiently across a wide range of job sites.
”For Julie Cantiniau, Managing Director of Cantiniau, the arrival of this new crane also holds special significance. “The 80-tonne crane is kind of my gem. I really wanted to bring this class of crane back into our fleet,” she explains. “I’ve known these machines my whole life: we’ve worked with previous generations of 80-tonne cranes on particularly demanding projects, especially in the rail sector and for major industrial clients. I’d even kept the charts from my old sales catalogs! It’s truly satisfying to have this lifting capacity again today, along with all the technological advancements of the new AC 4.080-1.”
With its compact dimensions on four axles, the AC 4.080-1 crane offers exceptional accessibility on job sites. It can carry up to 9.3 tonnes of counterweight and its swing-away jib while maintaining an axle load of under 12 tonnes. Its 60-meter main boom, high lifting capacities at inclined boom angles, and IC-1 Plus intelligent control system make it a highly cost-effective construction crane and, in many cases, reduce the need for separate counterweight transport.
This exhibition also highlights Tadano’s e-Pack system. Cantiniau will receive an e-Pack along with the crane as part of the leasing model offered by Tadano France. Connected to an external power supply, this electro-hydraulic system enables quiet, emission-free operation of the crane, making it particularly well-suited for indoor work, urban construction sites, and nighttime operations.
