Tadano cranes reliably operate on projects around the world, and increasingly their customers are coming to Japan to observe the construction of these cranes for themselves and meet with representatives in the company’s home country.

On 23 May 2023, representatives from “Arabian Machinery & Heavy Equipment Co. (AMHEC) “ and “Saleh & Abdulaziz Abahsain Co. Ltd” came in from Saudi Arabia to visit the Kozai and Shido plants after placing and taking delivery of a major order.

AMHEC, established in 2007, is based in Al Khobar City, Saudi Arabia, with other branches in Saudi Arabia. The company offers a fleet of approximately 300 cranes for rental, around 200 of which are Tadano models. AMHEC also provides customers with Rigging Supervisors, Crane Operators, Trailer Drivers, Heavy Equipment Operators, and Riggers.

AMHEC, which views additional Tadano cranes as valuable offerings in their fleet, recently took delivery of 35 GR-800EX rough terrain cranes. It was significant order placed and delivered through Tadano’s Saudi Arabian distributor, Saleh & Abdulaziz Abahsain Co.,Ltd. (Abahsain) , and Tadano ME Lifting Equipment Trading L.L.C. (TME).

Mr. Abdullah Faisal Al Suwaiket, CEO of AMHEC, described Tadano as a “well-known, great manufacturer of Rough Terrain Cranes.” He further noted Tadano’s safety, quality, customer service support, and “excellent” past experiences with Tadano products as a primary reason for both the large order of GR-800EX cranes and the plant visit to Japan.

The visit to Japan made by Mr. Abdullah and others from AMHEC and Mr. Saleh Almogbil from Abahsain on 23 May included tours of the Shido Plant in Sanuki and the Kozai Plant in Takamatsu, where Tadano also has its corporate headquarters. The attendees were met by Mr. Takashi Fukui, Executive Officer, and Mr. Norihiro Kawai, Assistant Manager of the Mobile Crane Sales Department for the Asia - Pacific Sales Division for the plant tours. In addition, they met with the Research & Development team at the Shido Plant to pose questions and learn more about the design along with the technological and safety features of the cranes.

The factory tour and meetings helped visitors from AMHEC see Tadano’s process for designing, building, and delivering the rough terrain cranes that AMHEC provides for their customers, right from where it originates.

“We were impressed by the well-organized production line and clean factory,” said Mr. Abdullah.

The sales and service process continues beyond the manufacturing plant, and Mr. Abdullah also noted their experience with TME and their distributor in the field as they took delivery of the 35 new cranes.
“Abahsain and TME are always very supportive,” said Mr. Abdullah while praising the delivery process and training for the cranes. He also expressed satisfaction with the handover process, noting as any customer might, “faster delivery is always welcome.”

Always appreciating customer feedback, Tadano continues to upgrade and streamline processes in its manufacturing facilities, as well as with field offices and distributors, to maximize the service and delivery experience while minimizing delivery time.

“The competition is getting tough and severe,” said Mr. Abdullah. “However, AMHEC has become one of the key players in the rental business in Saudi Arabia and a well-recognized company in the highly competitive industry.”

Tadano welcomes additional customers to visit for factory tours and to meet with managers, researchers, and employees to get a full understanding of how the company works to continuously enhance the safety, quality, and efficiency for its cranes.
